Would you like to become a member of our Patient Participation Group and get involved with the practice to help us improve our services? Having a PPG brings significant benefits to the practice and to our patients.
What is the Patient Participation Group?
The Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a unique partnership and consists of a group of volunteer patients, carers and staff from the practice. Our PPG meets on a regular basis to discuss and support the running of the practice. Steve Holt, our Operations Manager, is our Chairman for the group and helps steer change to help both the patients and the practice.
Having a PPG brings significant benefits to the practice and to our patients:
- Service improvements and the promotion of good health locally.
- Helping us develop the services that reflect what patients need and want.
- Encouraging patients to take more responsibility for their own health.
- Foster improved communication between the practice and our patients.
- Patients have a forum to suggest positive ideas and voice concerns.
- Influencing decisions about the services provided.
- Practical support such as wellbeing activities e.g, supporting and encouraging our patients to be actively involved in our allotment, based on Dewsbury Road.
The PPG is open to any registered patient to join and currently meets every other month.
Our meetings are not a forum for discussing individual complaints or issues and members of the group do NOT have access to any patient information.

The group is also a member of the National Association for Patient Participation N.A.P.P. www.NAPP.org.uk
