What do I do when the practice is closed?
If the practice is closed and you have an urgent, but non-emergency medical concern, you can seek help via NHS 111. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered, or arrangements made for you to consult with a GP.
- Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can be accessed either online or by calling 111
- 111 will assess your needs and give you advice and direct you to the local services that can best help you
- Calls to the NHS 111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles
Local Pharmacists
Remember, your Pharmacist can also be a useful resource. They can advise whether your symptoms can be treated 'over the counter', or whether you need to speak to a GP.
Life Threatening - Go to the Accident & Emergency Department
If you or someone you know has a life-threatening condition, such as loss of consciousness, chest pain, breathing difficulties etc, you should call 999 immediately.
