The NHS prescription charge in England is a flat-rate amount. 

If you require multiple medications and you are not exempted, a prescription prepayment certificate (PPC) can offer considerable savings.

At present charges (correct May 2024) are:

• Prescription (per item): £9.90
• 12 month prepayment certificate (PPC): £114.50
• 12 month Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) PPC £19.80
• 3 month PPC: £32.05
